Communities in Tanzania face significant challenges of poverty, inequality and climate change, disproportionately affecting women, youth, and children. These vulnerable groups often lack access to essential resources, capacity-building opportunities, and adequate technical skills, leading to systemic barriers to growth and development.
Empower Tanzania for Change (ETC) seeks to contribute to the holistic sustainable development through microfinance sector tier 3 and 4 which are financial cooperatives, Savings and credit Cooperative Societies (SACCOS), Village community banks (VICOBA), including VSLAs.
EMPOWER TANZANIA FOR CHANGE seeks to empower these communities and foster long-term economic independence and social equity through targeted education, training, and sustainable solutions, such as financial education, clean energy, governance, and resilience to climate change. By focusing on women, youth, children, and those underserved through collaboration, innovation, and partnerships, we aren’t just developing leaders— we are building a poverty-free future in alignment with DIRA 2050 and the Global SDGs. "
